Getting there & tips

Best time: April–May and September–October for clear karst light and comfortable rafting; summer (Jun–Aug) is lush but rainy and crowded. Winters are mild, good for low-cost long stays; avoid national holidays. · Subtropical monsoon climate: long, humid summers with a June–August rain peak, short mild winters, high humidity and strong UV on the open river.

MetroIf there is no direct metro pin, ride metro to a central Yangshuo hub, then transfer by bus or Didi to Yangshuo.

BusYangshuo town is walkable (Binjiang Road, West Street). Local buses such as 806 reach the Impression venue (Shimashan intersection) and 808 links town suburbs per the county transport notices. Rent an e-bike to loop the Ten-Mile Gallery rural road to Moon Hill. Yulong piers and Xingping are reached by local bus or short Didi; the Li River cruise lands at Longtoushan (Shuidongmen) wharf in town. The dedicated HSR stop is Yangshuo Station in Xingping (on the Guiyang–Guangzhou line), ~8 km from Xingping old town and ~50–60 min by 高铁专线 bus to West Street; confirm the latest dedicated-bus schedule for late arrivals. The bigger gateway is Guilin (airport / Guilin stations), from which you can either take the overland bus to Yangshuo or board the Li River cruise that ends at Yangshuo's wharf.

Taxi / DidiDidi or a licensed taxi is the simplest door-to-door. Set destination to “阳朔” and pay in-app with Alipay/WeChat.
