快速结论

I booked Shanghai Station 上海站—my G train left from Hongqiao 上海虹桥. Missed train; ¥800 lesson. Always match Chinese station names on the ticket.

Detailed Answer

What happened: Trip.com showed “Shanghai → Hangzhou” in English. I assumed one Shanghai station. Didi dropped me at Shanghai Station 上海站 with 25 minutes to spare. The ticket said Hongqiao 上海虹桥—45 minutes away in rush traffic. I missed the train; rebooking + hotel change cost more than a year of Trip.com fees.

What fixed it: Screenshot Chinese characters from the PDF into Amap favorites. Now I favorite both ends before I book. Second class was fine—wrong station was the failure.

下一步

Before paying, read the Chinese station line on the ticket—not just the English city name.

怎么做

  1. Expand ticket details; find 上海虹桥 / 北京南 etc.

  2. Favorite that station in Amap before checkout.

  3. Didi to the Chinese station name, not “train station”.

  4. Arrive 45–60 min early at mega-hubs.

常见坑

  • Trusting English “Shanghai” without 虹桥 vs 站.

  • Didi to the closest pin labeled “railway station”.

  • 15 minutes buffer at Hongqiao.

常见问题

Same as the booking question?

No—this is my **Hongqiao vs Shanghai Station** story.

Trip.com or 12306?

Either—**station name** matters more than vendor.
