1. Agreement
Creating an account — including with Google — requires you to tick that you agree to these Terms and have read the Privacy Policy. The box is not pre-ticked.
If you do not agree, do not create an account. Browsing public pages does not by itself create that agreement.
If you use the services for an organization, you represent that you can bind it.
2. What ChinaPie is (and is not)
ChinaPie helps travelers discover experiences, browse city guides, plan itineraries, download trip reports, and (where available) use on-trip assistance. We provide information and tools—not licensed legal, medical, immigration, or emergency services.
Experience fulfillment, hotels, tickets, and transport are often provided by third parties; ChinaPie may route requests or show affiliate links but does not replace those providers’ contracts with you.
3. Accounts
Some features (saving reports, downloading Free PDFs, Plus unlock, invites) require an account. You must provide accurate information, keep credentials confidential, and are responsible for activity under your account.
Notify us promptly of unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose security risk.
4. Free and Plus plan reports
Free trip reports are available after sign-in for download as PDF, with some detail soft-gated in the on-site preview. Plus is a one-time unlock (not a subscription) that enables Smart deepen / fuller report detail and Plus PDF for the entitled use described in the product UI—typically unlocked by paying the stated price (e.g. US$9.99) or completing the invite threshold (e.g. 3 valid new registrations). After a Plus entitlement is consumed as described in-product, another unlock may be required.
Reports are planning aids; schedules, prices, and availability change—verify before you travel.
5. Payments
One-time Plus unlocks are processed by our payment provider (e.g. Stripe). Prices are shown at checkout in the stated currency. You authorize the charge when you complete payment.
App Store purchases for any iOS products (when listed) are billed by Apple under Apple’s terms; restore and refund rules for those purchases follow Apple.
6. Refunds
Digital report unlocks and delivery issues are governed by our Refund Policy. Partner experiences and third-party bookings follow the partner’s or platform’s own cancellation rules.
7. Invites and referrals
Invite rewards require valid new user registrations completed through your invite link, subject to anti-abuse rules (no self-invites, no fake accounts, one email counts once). We may withhold or revoke rewards obtained through fraud or manipulation.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: misuse the service; scrape or overload our systems; reverse engineer except where allowed by law; upload malware or unlawful content; infringe others’ rights; attempt to bypass paywalls or invite rules; or use ChinaPie to harm people or violate export / sanctions rules. Community posts must be lawful and respectful.
9. Your content and our IP
You retain rights to content you submit, and grant ChinaPie a worldwide license to host, process, and display it as needed to operate the features you use. ChinaPie branding, site design, curated datasets, and software remain our property or our licensors’. You may not copy or resell our reports or content at scale without permission.
10. Third parties and affiliates
Guides may include affiliate links (e.g. lodging, eSIM, transport). We may earn a commission if you book through them; this should not replace your own judgment on safety and fit. Third-party services are governed by their terms.
11. Disclaimers
Services and content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free AI or report output, or that information is complete or current. Travel involves risk—you remain responsible for visas, insurance, bookings, and on-the-ground decisions.
In an emergency, contact local authorities.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChinaPie and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or travel costs arising from your use of the services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the services is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for Plus unlocks in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChinaPie from claims arising out of your misuse of the services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or stop providing features, or close accounts, for maintenance, risk, or Terms violations.
Provisions that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits) will survive termination.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of chinapie.ai, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence apply. Courts in that jurisdiction may have exclusive venue unless prohibited by law.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a revised date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
If you do not agree, stop using the services.
17. Contact
All support, billing, privacy, press, and partnership requests use one address: [email protected]. We do not publish a separate sales or legal inbox. If a regulator or court needs operator details, email that address and we will provide them.
