成都旅行指南2026:一天打卡四大中国标志性体验

核心观点

Yes, you can fit four of China's most iconic experiences into one Chengdu day: morning pandas at the base (7:30 AM entry, 55 RMB), afternoon hanfu in Jinli or Kuanzhai Alleys (from ~US$18), a teahouse ear-cleaning break (~60 RMB), and hotpot at dusk (from ~80 RMB per person). Total budget lands around 400–600 RMB per person without accommodation.

Chengdu is the city that keeps breaking the internet. One morning you see a giant panda eating bamboo for an hour straight; that night it's a hanfu-clad traveler walking past red lanterns in Jinli; somewhere in between someone gets their ears cleaned on a teahouse chair and swears it's the most relaxing thing they've ever done.

Here's the thing: these aren't separate trips. You can stack four of China's most iconic experiences into a single Chengdu day, and it won't break your budget.

This guide gives you the exact order, real prices, and the mistakes to skip — built from current 2026 rates and local transport routes.

Morning (7:30 AM – 1:00 PM): Giant Pandas at the Base

Tickets & entry

  • Adult ticket: 55 RMB (student: 27 RMB; children under 6 or under 1.3 m, and seniors 60+, free with ID).
  • Booking: official WeChat account "Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding". Reserve at least 3 days ahead on weekdays and 7 days ahead for holidays — Golden Week slots go fast. There is no ticket window at the gate.
  • Hours (peak season, Mar 16 – Oct 31): 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, last entry 5:00 PM. Winter opening is 8:00 AM.
  • Morning tickets run 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM; afternoon tickets from 12:00 PM. Choose morning.

Why you must go early

Pandas are crepuscular — most active right after the morning meal, roughly 7:30–10:00 AM. After about 9:30 AM the outdoor animals drift back into air-conditioned rooms to nap, and the base starts capping instant flow at 36,000 visitors (daily cap 85,000: 45,000 morning, 40,000 afternoon). Arriving at 7:30 AM means short queues and active pandas; arriving at 10 AM means watching sleeping ones through glass.

Getting there

  • Metro Line 3 to Panda Avenue Station Exit A/D → shuttle 408 to the south gate; or General Hospital of Chengdu Military Region Station Exit B → shuttle 409 to the west gate (shuttle about 2 RMB).
  • Direct bus from Chunxi Road (under the IFS climbing-panda sculpture): about 10 RMB, roughly an hour.
  • Taxi from downtown: 30–40 RMB, about 25–30 minutes.

Inside the base

  • Buy the 30 RMB sightseeing bus pass (valid for 5 rides in one day) — the base is huge and built on a hillside; without it you'll hit 15,000+ steps.
  • Hua Hua, the internet-famous panda, lives in Villa 6 — queue early, viewing is capped at about 3 minutes per person, and the villa is closed every Monday (except public holidays).
  • Best viewing in summer is the Sun Nursery and Moon Nursery (cub season runs June–September); the Panda Tower and the west-side pavilions (Shanyue, Qiuyue, Wangyue) are quieter and newer.
  • Bring an empty bottle — free drinking fountains are scattered around the park. Food inside is pricey and average; snack before you go.
  • No flash photography for pandas, and no selfie sticks or tripods past security.

Early Afternoon (2:00 – 5:00 PM): Hanfu in Jinli or Kuanzhai Alleys

After the pandas, swap the hiking shoes for flowing sleeves. Chengdu is one of the easiest cities in China to try hanfu — the ancient-style clothing you've seen all over social media — and two streets make it effortless.

Jinli Ancient Street (锦里古街)

Free to enter, open all day, next to Wuhou Shrine (Wuhouci Street, 231-1). The classic hanfu hall here is Huashang Yueling (Klook bookable):

  • Hanfu rental only: from US$18.20 (24-hour rental, includes accessories and props; 300 RMB refundable deposit per set).
  • Rental + hair & makeup: from US$33.45.
  • Rental + hair & makeup + 1-hour outdoor photoshoot: from US$123.05.
  • The studio is a 5-minute walk from Metro Line 3/5 Gaoshengqiao Station Exit D, right by the best photo spots around Wuhou Shrine.

Kuanzhai Alleys (宽窄巷子)

Qing-dynasty courtyards, free entry, and a growing number of hanfu studios. A simple hanfu photo shoot starts at US$10.85; packages with full hair and makeup run about US$14–21. The gray-tile alleys and memorial archways make it one of the most photogenic backdrops in the city. Metro Line 4, Kuanzhai Alleys Station Exit B, two-minute walk.

Whatever you pick, check what's included before booking — makeup, hairstyle, photographer and retouching are usually sold separately.

Late Afternoon (5:00 – 7:00 PM): Teahouse, Ear Cleaning & Face-Changing

Now the part everyone asks about. Chengdu's old teahouses still do the traditional ear-cleaning (采耳) you've seen in a hundred viral videos — thin metal tools, a deep tingling sensation, and an unshakeable calm after.

  • Covered-bowl tea (盖碗茶): about 25 RMB per seat.
  • Traditional ear-cleaning session: about 60 RMB at a teahouse (on the street in Kuanzhai, simpler sessions run US$4–8).
  • Sichuan opera face-changing show: about 65 RMB including tea — the performer swaps masks in the blink of an eye, and you'll still be trying to figure out how afterward.

You can do all three in one seat. Most shows run 30–45 minutes; go for a late-afternoon session and you'll catch the golden light in the courtyard before lanterns come on.

Evening (7:00 – 10:00 PM): Hotpot & Night Streets

Chengdu hotpot is the city's loudest love language. Skip the tourist-facing chains on the main strip and follow the local rule: pick the old-school restaurant where the menu is mostly in Chinese and the tables are full of students. Expect to pay 80–150 RMB per person for a proper spread — a fraction of what a comparable meal costs in London or New York.

After dinner, walk it off through Jinli or Kuanzhai after dark: red lanterns, hand-pulled candy, and street performers until late. In October, the weather is mild enough that a night walk is the best part of the day.

One-Day Budget (per person)

ItemCost
Panda base ticket55 RMB

Tea + ear cleaning~85 RMB

Skip the hanfu photoshoot package and use your own phone, and you can trim another 100+ RMB — the experience itself is the part that matters.

Quick answers

Do I need to book the panda base in advance? Yes — online only, via the official WeChat account, and it sells out during holidays. There is no on-site window.

Can foreigners book hanfu by themselves? Yes. Klook and Trip.com list the Jinli and Kuanzhai studios in English, and several include English-speaking guides.

Is ear cleaning safe? It's a regulated local craft, done with sterilized tools; it feels intense but is routine for locals. If you're nervous, tell the practitioner and they'll go lighter.

One day enough? For these four experiences, yes — if you start early and use the sightseeing bus at the panda base. Add a second day for Dujiangyan, Mount Qingcheng, or the Jinsha Site Museum.

The Bottom Line

Chengdu is the easiest city in China to have a day that feels impossible anywhere else: a panda eating bamboo two meters away in the morning, a hanfu transformation by afternoon, ear-cleaning in a 300-year-old alley, and a hotpot dinner that ruins every other restaurant for you. The whole thing costs less than a single Michelin-star tasting menu back home.

怎么做

  1. Book your panda base ticket online at least 3 days ahead (holidays: 7 days) on the official WeChat account 'Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding' — there is no on-site ticket window.

  2. Arrive before 8:00 AM: take Metro Line 3 to Panda Avenue Station Exit A/D (south gate, transfer to shuttle 408) or General Hospital of Chengdu Military Region Station Exit B (west gate, shuttle 409). The direct bus from Chunxi Road IFS costs about 10 RMB.

  3. Do the west-gate-to-south-gate route to avoid the crowds; buy the 30 RMB sightseeing bus pass (5 rides per day) so you can cover the far-flung pavilions without burning 15,000+ steps.

  4. Head to Jinli Ancient Street or Kuanzhai Alleys in the early afternoon for a hanfu rental — with hair and makeup from about US$33 at Jinli's Huashang Yueling hall, or a simpler shoot from US$10.85 at Kuanzhai.

  5. Sit down in a bamboo teahouse: covered-bowl tea (~25 RMB), a 10–15 minute traditional ear-cleaning session (~60 RMB), and a Sichuan opera face-changing show (~65 RMB with tea).

  6. End the day with hotpot: skip the tourist strips and pick a local laobingguan (old-school restaurant) where the menu is mostly in Chinese — dinner runs 80–150 RMB per person.

常见坑

  • Showing up at the panda base without a reservation — walk-ins are not possible; tickets sell out fast during Golden Week and holidays.

  • Arriving after 9:30 AM — pandas go back inside to sleep once it warms up, and the base caps instant flow at 36,000 people, so late arrivals can wait an hour at the gate.

  • Going to Villa 6 (where Hua Hua lives) on a Monday — it is closed every Monday for maintenance except public holidays.

  • Booking a hanfu package that includes photos but not hair and makeup, then paying double on-site; read what is included before you book.

  • Paying tourist-menu prices at the main food street; the same hotpot and snacks are usually a third cheaper one alley over.
